Lp(a) Event at the National Parliament - 18 June

On 18 June, the RBSLM participated in a successful Lp(a) event at the National Parliament. Dr. Michel Langlois delivered a scientific presentation on behalf of the RBSLM, followed by a panel discussion with political representatives. The event also featured live point-of-care Lp(a) screening in capillary blood.

A key outcome was the announcement by Mrs. Carmen Ramlot (Les Engagés) that she will prepare and submit a parliamentary resolution supporting early cardiovascular disease risk screening, including Lp(a) testing.

EFLM database on biological variation

The EFLM is delighted to announce the launch of the new database for biological variation. Thisdatabase, produced by the EFLM WG “Biological Variation” and the EFLM TG “Biological Variation Database” was launched at the EuroMedLab Congress in Barcelona. The Ricos-Westgard database is now outdated and replaced by this new EFLM official database.
